As a reminder, Archmon’s charity of 2022 was PAPYRUS.
As part of this, we sent 1% of last year’s Year-end profits, as well as purchasing cards and such for Christmas gifting. But we really want your help to accelerate those fundraising efforts.
Not just that but I feel we have a part to play as marketers, brands and advertisers.
To that end, thanks to help of my brilliant planning partner-in-crime, Nina Franck, we have pulled together a downloadable document with a brief walk-through video for you to be aware of regulations and initiatives, to do your part as a media buyer to help children stay safe online!
‘PROTECTING THE MENTAL HEALTH OF OUR YOUTH IN ADVERTISING‘
The aim of this is to shine a light on the challenges the youth face, why Papyrus exists, and more potently the challenges and options within platforms, bring to the fore industry regulation and of course provide insight into positive initiatives, certifications and even client work.
You can watch it for free, but if you do please donate here (£10-£20 ideally) to support Papyrus’ work, their is link/Qr at end of presentation which you can use as well.
Due to other client commitments, it is now deep into 2023 for our 2022 Charity, but this is an important initiative that needs doing regardless!
SO – Why PAPYRUS?
PAPYRUS is the national Charity in the UK for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK.
Every £10 raised can help pay for 2 life-saving contacts to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really will make a difference to this growing charity. Donate £100 for potentially 20 young lives saved. This is no small thing.
Thanks for this, it will make a small but good difference, much like the changes you will hopefully make after receiving this presentation.
You can view the walk through video here (less than 10 minutes!), and the original document for review and download here!
Thanks
