OK the headline is a little punny and generic, but it really has been an exciting month for Archmon.
Why are we sharing this? Because it is important to reflect on both business and shared successes. To catalogue the good work that our colleagues, clients and partners are doing, as well as key milestones, all good signifiers of the health of things. A real mix:
1. We signed a lease on a new office!
Yes, A1, our new Archmon HQ (well technically Room 1 of the brilliant Mosaic coworking space in Lincoln). We really wanted a nice little space for a marketing shop, for new colleagues, for visiting clients and for partners to truly collaborate with. We have a minibar of your favourite spirits (think Old Fashioned on demand) multiple books, 3 desks, a sofa, and above all a space to call our own. Since taking it on, things have gone from strength to strength. So please, switch your SatNav to LN2 1DY and come and say hello.
2. We expanded the team (and more to come…)
Welcome to Caitlin Hemsley, Caitlin is a bit of a creative genius, not to mention her runner-up position in the industry renowned One Minute Briefs. She has joined as an intern until Christmas, and has already made a positive impact on the business. She has helped further develop her own learning of industry whilst getting stuck into writing and creative work, including developing Social Content Calendar, partnership collateral and more. Feel free to get in touch and say Hi.
To add to this, we are actually planning a couple of other new things, including partner contributions and even ore interestingly, some new board members! Watch this space…
3. I (Simon) got certified FCIM
A slight shout-out/brag here (apologies) but feels like something worth shouting about. That stands for Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. A nice accreditation to reflect tenure and experience in the industry – basically awarded to those with a few grey hairs, an area that I am definitely part of. This complements the Marketing and Brand Strategy certification completed last month through CIM. Hopefully our clients feel that ‘wisdom’.
4. Now part of CrissCross# London
Proud to announce we are now part of the collective built by our friends at CrissCross#. Not dissimilar to the Archmon Model, CrissCross# connects remote C-Suite talent and experts to brands making purposeful strides in the world. As an example, I am on there as the CMO-on-demand (a core Archmon product). Check them out if you have business direction needs (not just the marketing side)
5. We integrated into our clients’ businesses – really!
The last calendar month is the first in as long as I can remember where we have spent time on site with our clients. Lincoln, London, Stamford & Devon have all been in receipt of some in-person love, and long may it continue! Even posting this from a bench in a Shoreditch workspace. Certain things, ideas, idle comments, happenstance and conversations whilst brewing the kettles really add extra rigour to things!
6. We continue to support not for profit initiatives
Archmon’s MO of supporting and giving back/pro-bono continues. To further ongoing support of Brixton Finishing School, now doing assembly in the depths of Lincolnshire to discuss careers in advertising. We’re also doing a talk with some BTEC students in Lincoln this week. To add to our passion for both Mental Health and Social Mobility, ongoing marketing support of MENTalk Lincs continues, as well as supporting as a Core member of Common People, set up to enable those from working class backgrounds to get their feet into the world of advertising and marketing.
So what?
We are sharing this is to show that OK that is enough chat for now. But the key reason for sharing it is to show we do put our money where our mouth is, we care about outcomes of both the clients and the world, and as a result we hopefully grow and can continue to deliver such service.
